Creative Cooking with Sheri Castle
Great Food and Great Fun!

Cooking Classes

I teach classes at number of Triangle locations, including A Southern Season, Whole Foods Market and Williams-Sonoma. And as always, I'm currently booking custom classes. These classes are a great way to entertain family, friends and co-workers.

About my classes:

I share more than recipes; I cover techniques, ingredients, equipment and shopping tips. I believe that the secret to successful cooking is to begin with the best quality ingredients. Despite all the junk and fake food in our society, there's still a lot of great food out there.

Whenever possible, I showcase fresh, seasonal, local ingredients and artisanal products. My goal—my passion—is to help people find and eat the good stuff.

Whether you're a novice or an experienced cook, you'll enjoy these classes. My classes are lively, informative, and fun. My recipes are interesting, creative, and they work when you get them home. I work hard to ensure that my students learn while having a really good time.

Food Writing

I'm also a professional food writer. My work has appeared in Southern Living, Better Homes and Gardens, Fine Cooking, Cooks Illustrated, Edible Atlanta, Edible Memphis, Edible Low Country and WNC Magazine.

Living in Style I am also the food columnist for
Living in Style magazine. For the latest issue, I wrote an article on frozen summer desserts, The Thrill of the Chill. The article features homemade ice creams, sorbets, granitas, floats and parfaits. A previous issue featured a list of my ten favorite cookbooks.
