Here are some of the awards my writing and recipes have won recently.

The John Egerton Prize was awarded to Lora Smith on behalf of the Appalachian
Food Summit from the Southern Foodways Alliance, October 2015. I am proud to be a co-chair for our event and a board member of this excellent organization.

Finalist for a 2015 IACP award
|
I am proud that The Southern Living Community Cookbook was a finalist for a 2015 cookbook award from IACP. Southern food and food stories are bound together. This book reflects great cooks, regardless of where they come from, who claim Southern food as their own, whether for a lifetime or a mealtime.
